Exactly what we needed — a genuine Finnish sauna retreat away from the city. Smoke sauna on Saturday evening was a deeply traditional and wonderful experience. Gaming lounge was a nice bonus for an evening's entertainment.

Harjavalta is peaceful and the resort makes the most of the riverside setting. Lakeside cottage was charming with the private outdoor sauna. Slot machines in the gaming lounge — basic but fun after a relaxing spa day.

Wonderful small resort for a Finnish nature weekend. Thermal pool and hot tub are beautifully positioned by the river. Staff are warm and unpretentious. The traditional Finnish breakfast was outstanding.
